Call for registrations: Seminar on Trans and intersex people – Challenges for EU law

[/Presentation and discussion of the European Commission report “Trans and Intersex people: Discrimination on the grounds of sex, gender identity and gender expression” will take place on Wednesday 26 September in Brussels./]


[/ Following the publication of a new report on trans and intersex people under EU law, the LGBT Intergroup will host a seminar to present the report and discuss its findings with the authors, MEPs, institutions and civil society. The discussion will be lead by the following panel of experts:



– Silvan Agius, Co-author of the report
– Andréas Stein, Head of the Equal treatment legislation Unit, DG Justice
– Pirkko Mäkinen, Finnish Ombudswoman for Equality
– Richard Köhler, Transgender Europe
– Dan Christian Ghattas, Organisation Intersex International
– FEMM Coordinators

The seminar will take place in the European Parliament (ASP 1 G 2) on Wednesday 26 September, from 13.00 to 15.00. The event is public, but external participants are expected to register before 20 September at www.lgbt-ep.eu/register
