[/This networking initiative is about making transgender issues visible in the work of the national equality bodies./]
This networking initiatives focuses on the inequality and discrimination experienced by the Traveller/Gypsy/Roma communities in Europe. The initiative centres around the exchange of information and networking between specialised equality bodies working on Roma issues in order to support them to maximise the positive impact of their work on the situation of Roma people.
In this section we will give the floor to our members. Every few months, one of them will:
- describe its mission, its current activities and possibly the issues or challenges it faces at that particular time;
- give examples of cases it is dealing with.
- give other members a better understanding of the specific context in which they operate
This section will also contribute to:
- building a more interactive and participative website
- making other members better acquainted with the activities they implement to promote diversity, challenge prejudices and foster equality in their national context
- allowing Equinet members to share experience, solutions to common problems and strategies to combat discrimination.
